Short family holiday for 6 nights and we had an amazing time! Location was fantastic with breath taking views. It’s quiet yet the marina is a short walk away where there are many restaurants and shops. The property itself is very well equipped and clean. There were leaflets which helped us to pick local activities and restaurants; board games and David had even left us a bottle of Prosecco! We had a very nice time! Thank you so much - 01/09/23 

Stayed at York Lodge West in July 2023. What a location! Possibly the best holiday accommodation we've stayed in in the UK, and we've tried many. Family (including dog) thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather wasn't great but weather-watching across the bay from the lounge was an activity in itself. Cottage is well-equipped and the information provided beforehand about restaurants etc was really useful. For walks, Berry Head takes some beating. A lovely experience all round. - 21/08/23 

A lovely and spacious place, very light and airy with great views across Torbay.
We liked the distribution of the property, with the living room on the top floor and the kitchen with conservatory on the lower floor with access to the terrace.

We had the most fantastic stay at this beautiful place. The views are really spectacular from inside as well as from the garden. The house is spotless and everything works perfectly. Brixham is very charming, nice water, walks and restaurants. This is a great Airbnb experience. - 12/07/23 

We've absolutely loved staying at York Lodge West!! It was our first time staying here, booking was very easy and David was so friendly and helpful with the information about local restaurants and places. The house was beautiful, very clean and had everything you could need. The views from the house are really stunning and the pictures don't do it justice as it's so hard to capture! We really enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and the upstairs lounge in the evening and watching the gorgeous sunset. The location was perfect and so close to the town and breakwater beach, which was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better week and look forward to booking again! - 21/10/22 

My wife and I spent an enjoyable week here in June with a couple of friends. We found that the accommodation was very clean, it was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The location was ideal, in a quiet area, with an easy walk into Brixham in one direction, and a good restaurant and the coastal path in the other direction. The view of the bay from the property was amazing and could even be appreciated from the conservatory when not warm enough to sit outside on the patio. Don't be put off by the steep driveway, It's easy to drive up and there is ample parking for 2 cars. Communication with the owner was excellent. The return of a couple of items of clothing left behind was no trouble to him. We would not hesitate to book again if we visit Brixham. - 21/10/21 

We’ve just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at York Lodge West which is highly recommended. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped with incredible views. So many places to walk from the doorstep- we hardly used our car during our stay! When we weren’t out and about we just sat in the conservatory and looked out to sea - there’s always something interesting to watch. We just loved it and hope to return. - 21/10/21 

We had such a wonderful time at York lodge west. The views and location are great, many lovely walks including ones along the south west coast path, straight from the front door. York Lodge West is the best holiday home we’ve ever stayed at and have holidayed there for the last two years. It’s clean, comfortable, spacious and homely but most of all has the best view anyone could wish for. Out and about there are plenty of coastal walks leading to stunning coves. It’s only a short walk to the harbour where there are friendly bars and restaurants. You will not be disappointed. - 21/10/20
